Privacy policy

A practical disclosure for visitor analytics, QSL requests, contact messages, and embedded media.

This policy is written for a publicly deployed personal amateur-radio and developer portal. It should be reviewed before production launch and adjusted for the hosting jurisdiction and deployment configuration.

What this site collects

The site may collect page path, referrer, visit time, browser, operating system, device type, screen resolution, language, coarse country/region/city data from CDN headers, and an IP-derived visitor hash. QSL and contact forms collect the information you submit, including name, callsign, email, address, QSO details, and message content.

Why it is collected

Analytics are used to understand traffic, improve site performance, and detect abuse. QSL request data is used only to review, confirm, prepare, ship, and track QSL cards or electronic confirmations. Contact data is used to reply to messages.

IP handling

The application supports anonymised IP storage via ANALYTICS_ANONYMIZE_IP. A salted hash is used for unique-visitor counting. Raw IP storage should be disabled where local law, hosting policy, or user preference requires it.

Who can access data

Visitor analytics, QSL requests, and contact messages are visible only to authenticated admin users with role-based access. Public pages do not expose private addresses, email addresses, or raw request records.

Retention and deletion

QSO log records are part of the public station log and may be retained indefinitely. QSL request and contact data should be periodically reviewed and deleted when no longer needed for card handling, dispute resolution, or record keeping.

Third-party embeds

The Videos page may embed Bilibili players. Opening or playing an embed can cause those platforms to process data under their own privacy policies.
